Frozen in a dull droplet
Will there be another day?
It never seems that way

The woods stand naked, tall
Somewhere, a stream sounds
The voice carries far in autumn
And there is no-one here now

A deaf veil thrown over the world
As far as the black raven flies
The first of winter's snow descends
Consumes all in a velvet darkness

The endless months of ornate frost
White death-like fog over the lakes
The unseen moon presiding over winter storms
The pale yellow sun that brings no warmth

The raven soars in the sky
A herald of winter
